Buea Realtors Commune to Expand Real Estate Market Potential

Buea realtors have rallied together to seek avenues of expanding the prospects of real estate business in Cameroon. The occasion was a 2-day yearly conference coordinated by Nkemateh Boris, Founder/CEO of Property Trust Group, under the theme: “Unlocking the Potential of Real Estate Market in Cameroon” at Mountain Lodge, GRA, Buea October 25-26, 2024. The conference brought together real estate professionals and aspiring real estate enthusiasts, offering a unique blend of community service, education, professional development and networking opportunities.

The conference kicked off with a sports walk and a visit to an orphanage. The sports walk was a major health activity for real estate developers, and for participants to understand the impact they are creating. Meanwhile, the visit to the orphanage was for the realtors to show solidarity to the less privileged which demonstrated the realtors’ commitment to giving back to the community.
On the second day, participants engaged in insightful sessions on real estate, led by experienced facilitators. Featuring among the facilitators, the CEO of Property Trust Group, Nkemateh Boris, talked on sustainable development strategies in real estate. For her part, Ngwang Stephany gave an introduction to real estate, while George Babilla expounded on real estate development. Dr. Dimuh Derick presented on funding in real estate and Nestor Shey rounded off with modern electrical systems in real estate. Note-worthy is the fact that there was another presentation on legal stakes in real estate. Each presentation was followed by a question-and-answer session, allowing participants to delve deeper into the presentations.

The conference provided a valuable platform for networking, attracting participants from various sectors. A case in point was representatives from Achievers Global Network Ltd, a consulting company, which sought to connect with CEOs of real estate companies, fostering potential collaborations and business opportunities.
According to Nkemateh, the yearly Buea Real Estate conference is an event which brings together stakeholders in real estate cutting across investors, realtors, aspiring realtors and all real estate stakeholders. He highlighted the conference as the ideal platform for knowledge acquisition, partnership, networking and collaboration among stakeholders.

Talking to the press, Nkemateh noted that, this 2024 edition stands out as the most impactful since 2021 because they are unlocking the potential of real estate in Cameroon “we have been doing so in the previous years, but just like the tip of the iceberg and we expect next year’s conference to be even bigger and better” Nkemateh expressed optimism on the growth of the conference
In her presentation, Ngwang Stephany, CEO of Dream Properties, highlighted opportunities for unemployed youths in real estate, noting that they can become agents or gain positions in real estate companies thereby addressing unemployment. “Real estate is a source of investment that anyone who invests into it becomes financially free,” Stephany explained. She added that investing in real estate is not only for the rich “Many Successful realtors started with little or no money. Personally, I began my real estate journey with no money, working as a freelancer and an agent for registered companies, by advertising properties through social media content creation.”
Akana David, Manager of Property Trust Group, praised the conference organisers, saying he learnt a lot from the presentations. “Before, I thought one needed a huge amount of money to get involved in real estate business, but now I know one can venture into it with little or nothing.” He told the press Akana added that he has learned the right legal procedures to acquire any type of land without issues.
