
The official Facebook page of the Ministry of Public Works announces that the design and construction work on phase 2 of the Yaoundé-Douala highway, which extends over 141.1 km and connects Bibodi to Douala, was launched on October 2 2024 by Minister Ngannou Djoumessi.

The amount of work is estimated at nearly 880 billion. The characteristics will therefore be that the Yaoundé-Douala highway, Phase 2, will extend over a total length of 141.1 km with 34.5 km of ramps connecting to the existing road network.


The route of the Yaoundé-Douala highway project works (phase II) includes five sections: including Bibodi – Bodmon: 39.5 km, Bodmon – Edéa Est (Song Dong): 34 km, Edéa Est (Song Dong): ) – Edéa West (Logbadjeck): 30 km, Edéa West (Logbadjeck) – Pitti station: 18 km and Pitti station – Massoumbou: 19.5 km.
