The Regional Delegate of Youth Affairs and Civic Education for the South West Region, Isaac Ekombe Mbua, October 11, commissioned into office newly appointed officials of the Buea Multipurpose Youth Empowerment Center (MYEC).
Those commissioned were Mr Ayuk James Ndep as the new Chief of the Youth Empowerment Center, in replacement of Mme Anna Enanga Awouke and Mr. Ngome Enome Christantus as the Regional Focal Point of the National Volunteering Programme for the South West Region.
The Youth Development Center, Buea was created in 2004 theand renamed as Multipurpose Youth Empowerment Center in 2010 by a Prime Ministerial decree. It has as mission to offer adequate sociocultural, educational and sporting activities to youths and to ensure the methodological support in planning and realization of local and community development by youths and for the youths.
The presiding delegate, Isaac Ekombe, congratulated Mme Anna Enanga who recorded remarkable success during her 15 years of service as Chief of the Youth Empowerment Center. Under her, the center reportedly trained and empowered over 750 youths through workshops.
Mr. Ekombe implored the new officials to consolidate the work of their predecessors and put in their own expertise and professional experience to improve on the performance of the center.
