A pictorial Of the number of children who have been sexually Harassed recently in Cameroon
Stanley Enow, Mimie, Mani Bella and other stars demand urgent action as yet another case of child abuse allegations pops up in the head quarters of Cameroon.
The latest outrage erupted after a three-year-old pupil of Olympic Glory Bilingual Nursery and Primary School in Yaounde was allegedly sexually abused. The incident surfaced barely days after the murder of 11-year-old Divine Mbarga and the killing of six-year-old Baby Mathis, thereby increasing national anger over violence against children.
Rapper Stanley Enow described the alleged assault as “inhumane,” condemning what he called the growing destruction of children’s innocence. The UNICEF ambassador urged authorities to respond firmly and ensure severe sanctions against offenders.
Singer Mimie lamented what she sees as a dangerous culture of forgetting, warning that public outrage in Cameroon often fades before justice is delivered. According to her, every new tragedy raises online anger, promises and debates, only for the cases to disappear from national attention weeks later.
Artist Mani Bella also questioned the effectiveness of current punishments, arguing that repeated abuse scandals reflect weak enforcement and institutional failure. Locko joined the campaign for justice by sharing messages demanding protection for children.
The alleged rape case has since triggered protests and an administrative investigation ordered by the Centre Regional Delegation for Basic Education. Officials have launched a 72-hour inquiry to establish the facts and determine possible responsibilities.
While the school administration denies the abuse occurred on campus, public pressure continues to mount as many Cameroonians demand accountability, justice and stronger child protection measures nationwide.
