On the occasion of the celebration of World Press Freedom Day in Cameroon, opposition candidate, Issa Tchiroma Bakary has called on journalists and media professionals to defend press freedom and uphold democratic values in Cameroon.

The opposition leader also highlighted past efforts to reform the media sector, including proposals to improve funding, regulate the profession, and modernize broadcasting systems.
