Muslims In TIko Subdivision Gather to Commemorate the Feast of Eid al-Adha
Muslims across Cameroon joined the global Islamic community on Wednesday to celebrate Eid al-Adha, with prayers and festivities held in several towns including Mutengene in Tiko Subdivision.
The Divisional Officer of Tiko, Samuel Nokuri, alongside members of his administration, join Muslim faithful at the Mutengene Central Mosque during the Tabaski celebration held at Brasserie Club Mutengene.
The prayer session, led by Imam Shitu Bouba, centred on messages of peace, social harmony and coexistence within the subdivision. More than 500 worshippers and residents attended the gathering.
Speaking during the ceremony, community leader Al Hadji Sulemanu Hamassani urged Muslims to celebrate the sacred feast in unity, love and mutual respect.
Tabaski is traditionally observed with prayers, animal sacrifice and communal meals shared among families and neighbours.
