• Despite President Tinubu’s condemnation and troop deployment, Falz argued that justice and accountability matter more than statements or military action alone.
Nigerian Rapper and activist Falz the Bahd Guy has criticized the Federal Government and Religious leaders over their response to the deadly kwara state massacre , questioning why political ambition appears to outweigh the protection of citizens.
The criticism followed a brutal attack that occurred on 3 February 2026 in Kaiama local Government Area , Kwara state. Gunmen suspected to be Islamic extremists stormed the villages of Woro and Nuku, killing at least 162 people.
On 8 February 2026, Falz whose real name is Folarin Falana, shared a video on Instagram condemning the government’s focus on building campaign structures for the 2027 elections while communities continue to suffer.
He questioned why no arrest have been made days after the massacre. Falz criticized religious leaders accusing some of allowing politicians to campaign in churches and mosques. He argued that religious platforms should also be used to educate citizens on key national issues, including the Senate’s refusal to implement electoral reforms such as real-time transmission of election.
Although President Bola Tinubu described the killing as cowardly and ordered the deployment of troops under operation Savannah Shield, Falz insisted that statements and military deployment alone are not enough without justice and accountability.
